The Monarch Gite is beautifully renovated to a high standard keeping it's original Breton charm.

There are two gites available here at Gites de Papillon and both are ideal for families with high chairs, cots and stair gates available. Each gite can be rented individually or for the larger family or two families together they can be rented together as they have an adjoining door.

Very open and spacious with a large living and dining area, the Monarch Gite has a feature stone wall, original oak beams and a tiled floor. English television, Dvd and video.

The open plan kitchen is equipped with fridge, cooker, grill, microwave, toaster, kettle and ample cupboard space.

The bathroom is complete with shower cubicle, vanity unit and toilet.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with exposed beams and a velux window. One bedroom has a double bed and feature window, the other has two single beds.

We offer a laundry service at €5 per load (washed and dried).

The large garden is equipped with barbecue and garden furniture for your use. A play area with swings trampoline and garden games is available for children.

We have an enclosed terraced pool area furnished with sun loungers. With a depth of 1.2m the pool is ideal for both younger children and adults.

The latest additions to our family are two Kune-kune pigs, Flash and his little sister Petal and our two mini goats, Milly and Tilly. They join Peanut the cockerel and our six chickens who lay wonderfully tasty eggs and, if they oblige, you can try them fresh for breakfast. All the animals are very friendly and great fun, children will love to see them playing and being fed. This summer we will also be introducing Venus a miniature horse. She is a very rare ghost appaloosa and hopefully there will be the opportunity for small children to have guided walks on her.

Located near Callac with its market square, church, bars, restaurants, creperies and traditional gift shops. Callac is known as the "green place to holiday" and its main feature is Le Lac de la Vallée Verte, a magnificent lake surrounded by unspoiled woodlands.
