Two ancient stone houses in the heart of rural Tuscany.
L'Amorosa and Villa Gelsomina are both within easy walking distance to Bagnone.

L'Amorosa is a medieval stone guard tower that has recently been restored with loving care. It
situated beside Villa Gelsomina, equaly old. Although they share the same pool they have terraces
on opposite sides so they are not overlooking each other.

L'Amorosa is entered directly into the baronial style living room with a wonderful high beamed
ceiling and large fireplace. A door leads to the dining room which has a well equipped kitchen at
one end and a covered loggia with steps down to the terrace.

There are three double/twin bedrooms, two with attractive mezzanine levels and two luxury
bathrooms, one with a very large bath.

It is stylishly furnished in period style, but with modern comforts. The large garden and pool is
shared with Gelsomina, though both have their own private terraces.

The views out across the Lunigiana hills are spectacular, especially from the terrace in the
evening, while sipping a cool prosecco.

It can be combined with Villa Gelsomina and these two properties would be ideal for a larger
party of 10.

This lovely old stone Tuscan home is set in its own grounds and approached by a tree
lined drive.

Villa Gelsomina is furnished throughout with lovely old Tuscan furniture, and the accommodation
is all on one level. Stone steps lead up to the large private terrace with wonderful views of the
surrounding countryside.

The open plan living room has a comfortable sitting area with an attractive large chimney breast
and open fireplace. There is a well fitted kitchen area with dining table and chairs which opens
directly to the lovely terrace. Off this room there is a nicely furnished sunny bedroom with garden
views. The second bedroom has antique twin beds and windows overlooking the garden. There is
a small bathroom which has a shower, WC and handbasin

They are both peaceful and private country villas yet is possible to walk into Bagnone, a really
attractive market town with arcaded street. A river from the Apennines tumbles through the
centre, over rocks and waterfalls, all watched over by the ancient castle above the upper town. It
also boasts the oldest pharmacist shop in Europe.
There are two alimentari shops, a fruit shop, a butcher and a baker and a bank, as well as several
inexpensive restaurants. There are good supermarkets only a few minutes' drive away.

There are many lovely drives into the hills where river pools for bathing may be found. The sea is only half an hour way, as are mountains and lakes.
The railway station nearby is on the main La Spezia-Parma line, with good connections to Pisa and Florence.

L'Amorosa sleeps 6, and Gelsomina up to 4, so these two properties would be ideal for a larger
party of 10.
