Santa Lucia is situated on a farming estate of 140 hectares in the Valdichiascio, a beautiful natural area along the Chiascio River, and on the Franciscan pilgrimage route between Gubbio and Assisi. The house retains its farmhouse character, but offers excellent accommodation with all modern facilities.
At ground floor, entrance is into a large open plan living room with dining area and kitchen. It is well furnished with ample sofas, and has an open fireplace. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one double and one with twin beds, and full bathroom. On the first floor, accessed by a covered external stair, entrance is into a second living room. There is a kitchen/breakfasting room and three bedrooms, one double and two with twin beds, all beautifully furnished. Two children's beds can be added. There is one full bathroom with separate shower, and one shower room. The house is ideal for two families who want to holiday together but would also like to maintain some privacy.
Santa Lucia is situated just 10kms from Gubbio, and 20kms from the E45, providing easy access to all the historic towns of Umbria, such as Perugia, Umbertide, Citta di Castello, Todi, Assisi. It provides an ideal location, whatever you want out of your holiday. You can simply relax around the pool, and if you don't want to cook, there is a restaurant just 500 metres away which offers exceptionally good home-produced food typical of the region. There are also many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in Gubbio.
If you want to be a little more active, all sorts of activities can be arranged for you, including pony trekking, canoeing, paragliding. For culture vultures, the beautiful historic towns of Umbria and Le Marche are easily accessible. Gubbio itself is steeped in history, with its Roman amphitheatre, the town centre and Palazzo dei Consoli, and the Monastery of S. Ubaldo on the mountain top, reached by cable car. If you love natural history, the National Parks of Monte Subasio and Monte Cucco, and the caves of Frasassi are 'a must'
