Apartment Cinghiale is one of four independent apratments in Casale degli Ulivi, a typical Umbrian farmhouse which has been sensitively converted, retaining its original character but providing for modern comforts. The farmhouse is situated on the hillside of Monte Camera at an altitude of 650m above sea level, affording spectacular views over the Appenine mountains. The swimming pool, (11m x 5.5m and 1.6 - 1.65m deep) is set into the hillside below the house, and there is a barbecue area just above this.
Apartment Cinghiale is on the ground floor, and comprises a living room with kitchen corner, one double bedroom, shower room and external terrace overlooking the pool. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished with typical antique country furniture, and the kitchen and bathroom are clean, modern and stylish. The apartment has central heating, and there is a separate laundry room. Mountain bikes are also available for hire.
The house is only 4kms from Gualdo Tadino, with shops, weekly market, bars, restaurants, bus and train service. The Monte Cucco National Park is only 10kms from Casale degli Ulivi, and provides the backdrop for some of the stunning views. For those who want more than a relaxing break, there are plenty of sporting activities in the park areas including, hang-gliding and pony trekking. The spectacular caves of Frasassi 30kms away in Le Marche are well worth visiting.
Casale degli Ulivi is well placed for visiting many of the most beautiful historic towns in Umbria and Le Marche. Gubbio, with its ancient streets, churches and palaces and Roman amphitheatre, is only 15kms away. Assisi is 30 kms away, and Perugia, Spello, Umbertide are all easily accessible. Only 20kms away is the town of Fabriano, in Le Marche, with a rich cultural history, and not too distant are Cagli, Urbino, Jesi and many more.
