Casa Arnklit is a beautifully restored character stone house with a pretty large terraced private garden. It has a truly privileged position and boasts a view of olive groves and open countryside. It is situated just outside the entrance of the small enchanting medieval hill top hamlet of Mezzanelli.

The owners have taken great care to create a relaxing ambiance both inside and outside casa Mezzanelli.

Access to house is through its lovingly landscaped garden planted with roses, fragrant lavender bushes, olive trees, vines and aromatic plants.

The romantic veranda leads into the sitting room with its original open fireplace and a fully equipped built-in cooking corner. On the ground floor there are also a guest bed room with a double sofa-bed, a small wardrobe, an ancient linen chest and a French windows which opens on to the garden, a single bedroom, and a bathroom with bathtub. From the sitting room a small stair leads upstairs into the lobby/studio with a single bed, on the first floor there are also the master bedroom and a cloakroom.

The house was restored reflecting as much as possible the original character of the place; many original features remaining (niches, wood beamed ceilings, terracotta tiling, wooden window shutters, original doors).
It is tastefully furnished with period and rustic furniture in chestnut and poplar wood.

The garden is part of the approx. 1000 sqm plot of land (about 0.25 acres) that stretches in front of the house and is planted with olive trees. Two small stone outbuildings complete the property, one is used as garden tool storage, the other is used as hobby room and studio. There is also a shady area close by with a pizza/bread oven and a BBQ for the use of the guests, set out with a table and chairs provides an ideal corner for meals out in the open enjoying stunning views and unforgettable sunsets.

Guests need a car to reach the surrounding villages and basic services and shops in a few minutes. Colpetrazzo, is only 1,5 km away and offers a bar and a small groceries’ shop. 6 km away there is the small town of Massa Martana and Acquasparta with many shops and all the services.

3 times a week the bread van goes up to Mezzanelli and every 15 days a dress and household articles street vendors. There are also the typical local markets in the close by villages.

Mezzanelli is a lovely hill top ancient hamlet still preserving the walls of the medieval castle dating back to the 12th c. Mezzanelli is immersed in the peaceful hilly green Umbrian landscape. Casa Arnklit is an ideal accommodation for those looking for a relaxing place in proximity to the key sights of Umbria. The internationally renown art and culture town of Todi is only 20 km away, Spoleto with its important festival del due Mondi is 30 km away. Excellent connections to other Umbrian towns and to Rome that is 1h30 by car taking the E45 dual carriage road, that crosses Umbria from top to bottom. A pretty agriturismo with a good traditional restaurant is within walking distance. Mezzanelli is part of trekking and cycling itineraries.
