Sunset Villa is located in the Sunset Village Residence on the border of Yalikavak and Gumusluk. This luxury villa has a private walled garden and enjoy views over the Aegean Sea and the islands beyond. This is the perfect location for watching the fabulous sunset that this area is renowned for.

Sunset Village Residence successfully combines peace and tranquility with activity for the whole family. The villa is situated directly infront of the largest of the 2 swimming pools, both have a separate kids pool and plenty of sun terraces and sunbeds. Staff wait to greet you at the pool-side bar – there is comfortable seating with parasols to shade you from the sun whilst you enjoy the freshly prepared food and drinks. Wireless internet connection is also available along with toilet and shower facilities. For the children, there is a designated play area. An on-site air-conditioned shuttle service is available to the beach, Yalikavak, Bodrum Town and to the local Supermarket. A Hire Car is not essential but can be arranged. Airport transfers can also be arranged.

Sunset Villa was completed in May 2007 and accommodates 6-8 people plus a cot. The spacious open plan living area has comfortably sofas – one of which opens out as a double bed. There is a dining table and chairs and a fully fitted luxury kitchen with granite worktop. Two sets of double patio doors lead to the covered terrace, with dining table and chairs – a must for the Bodrum climate. There is a large ground floor shower room and a laundry/storage room. On the first floor there is the masterbedroom with en-suite dressing and shower room. There are 2 further bedrooms [one double and one twin – both with fitted wardrobes] and the family bathroom. All bedrooms have patio doors to the first floor terrace – a perfect place to relax on the sofas and enjoy the sunset.

Villa utilities – TV with satelite, DVD/CD player, Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Juicer, Fridge-Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron & Board, Hairdryer, Weekly cleaning/linen change. Air-conditioning in the lounge. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans in all bedrooms.

Yalikavak - This once sleepy fishing village is now becoming one of the busiest marina towns on the peninsula whilst still retaining its charm and culture. The cobbled streets of the main town offer a variety of shops, restaurants and cafe bars. If you enjoy eating fresh fish then you will be at home here as there are many excellent fish restaurants along the marina– just look for the sign ‘Balik Restaurant’. Yalikavak is known for its clean air, stunning sunsets and crystal clear waters and offers fabulous views of both the sea and the mountains. Port Bodrum Marina - opened in Yalikavak in 2003 - harbours both fishing boats and luxury millionaire’s yachts. Most of the archaeological remains in this area are either unexcavated or are ruins. It is suggested that the ancient city of Yalikavak was situated on the top of one of the surrounding hills. Few tombstones and city walls still bear witness to the history of the town.

Gumusluk - meaning ‘of silver’ is the harbour of ancient Myndos and is one of the oldest settlements on the peninsula. This area is steeped in history and rich in archaeology both on land and underwater. Bring your snorkel because there is so much to see just below the water where parts of the historic city subsided. The centre – a small fishing village - has kept its charm thanks to strictly enforced building prohibitions. This photogenic small waterfront is home to about 20 fish restaurants and a few craft shops – perfect for an elegant lunch or dinner. The only noise is the gentle lapping of the sea on the shoreline. From here you can walk across the sunken causeway to Rabbit Island. The area is not over-developed and provides some of the most scenic views on the peninsula.

The Bodrum Peninsula - is situated on the south west coast of Turkey and is by far the prettiest area on the South Aegean coastline. Bodrum is unique as it caters for such diverse interests. You can experience traditional Turkish life only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of a modern resort. Watersport enthusiasts are more than catered for. Many of the resorts offer parasailing, windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling, banana boats and ringos. Divers from all over the world enjoy exploring the waters around Bodrum and there is something for both beginners and advanced divers. There are many Diving schools offering internationally accredited courses and who act as dive guides. For the Children – or the young at heart – there are two Aqua parks on the peninsula, one in Bodrum and a larger one between Ortakent and Konacik. And of course, a Turkish Bath is a must!

The area is steeped in history and this is still evident right across the peninsula. Take time to visit the more obvious sites such as St. Peter’s Castle and The Mausoleum.
