Built in 2006, this 5,000 sq ft beach-house occupies the top 2 stories of the 3 storey building. Finished entirely in hardwood and natural stones it features 5 air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms on the 1st floor, with the living area above - where it catches the breeze. The open plan "penthouse" living area features two "lounges", a 14 seat dining table, a barbecue area, bar, library, a further toilet and shower, and a 30ft rooftop pool and wet bar, all arranged around a central open plan kitchen.
While designed for guests who want to self-cater, a cook can be arranged, at additional cost, if required. There is a full-time maid/laundress to wash-up, do laundry, and to clean and service the rooms daily.
The house is walking distance from Kensington Oval Cricket Ground.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The Master bedroom features a California King bed, sea view and balcony and en-suite with bath, twin sinks, and two showers. The two "sub masters" have en-suites with showers. The two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and integral shower. All bedrooms (except the Master) can be configured as double or twin beds, and have two full-size pull out divans (allowing up to 4 full size beds per room). All bedrooms have solid wood floors, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, fly-screening, burglar bars and digital safes. All bathrooms have shell-stone floors and marble surfaces.
A 6th bedroom with en-suite, not part of the main apartment but annexed to the garage, may also be available by negotiation. Kitchen & Bar Area
The kitchen features two fridges, a dishwasher, a double oven, a toaster oven and a micro-wave. The bar features a further fridge and dish-washer, and two freezers. Living area
With its unique forward footprint the property has sea views unparalleled on the West Coast. Being higher up than any surrounding building, it is one of the few beach properties on the lee-side of the island able to catch the prevailing breeze - a design feature essential to living comfortably on steamy tropical days. It is un-overlooked and almost entirely private. (ie. You can see out, but people cannot see in)
It features two seating areas with seating for over 18, a 12ft dining table with seating for 14, and additional seating at either bar. There is also an extensive library, an upstairs washroom, a barbecue and a running machine. (There is also an additional family room on the 1st floor with two settees and a large computer desk). Pool Area
The pool area comprises of
a 30ft x 10ft pool with pool bar and a 30ft submerged bench. a 30ft x 6ft sun deck, and an external shower (with a simply spectacular view).
Ground Floor
(not included in rental) The ground floor is rented permanently to an expatriate couple, a professor and her husband, who work at the local university. They have a separate entrance, no children and no pets.

Kensington Oval is walking distance and, being 4.5 miles from both Holetown and St Lawrence, the beach-house is equidistant between both the major restaurant and nightlife areas on the island.
At over 1.2 miles Brighton Beach is the longest on the Platinum Coast and when put together with Paradise Beach (where prestigious Four Seasons Resort is under construction) provides almost 2 miles of uninterrupted powder soft sand. It is the largest turtle hatchery on the island and turtles are often seen laying eggs, hatching and swimming in the surrounding waters.
Being set back 200yds from the main road, Crowsnest does not experience the road noise suffered by most West Coast villas and because Brighton Beach is a mainly residential beach, with no hotels or apartment blocks and only a handful of properties available for holiday rental, the beach itself is almost deserted for the majority of the day/week. The water is usually calm and clear, and swimming is safe with negligible current, and a gentle slope to the sand.
Watersports are available to the north of the beach and there is a beach bar/restaurant (Weisers) 200 yds south. The nearest supermarket is half a mile behind Crowsnest, but we are not on a bus route (the nearest bus stop is at the Supermarket). Please see owners own website
