Torrevieja is in the south of the Valencian Community. It is surrounded by two large natural salt-water lagoons that form the well-known 'Salterns of Torrevieja'. The hottest months are July and August with temperatures ranging from 28 to 35 °C. October to December - is the very mild season with temperatures ranging from 21 to 27 °C. There are many beautiful beaches, squares, walks, parks, gardens and other natural beauty spots.Torrevieja boasts several blue flag beaches. The warm Mediterranean Sea is crystal clear and calm and most Torrevieja beaches provide entertainment areas for children. The town has easy access to some of the best golf courses around. Location: This two bedroom apartment is situated in the urbanisation of La Cinuelica just south of Torrevieja town centre and close to the busy areas of Punta Prima, La Zenia and Playa Flamenca. The nearest beach - Punta Prima - is about fifteen minutes walk and there are many other beutiful beaches in the area. The apartment is on the corner of the top floor (3rd floor) of the block overlooking the communal swimming pool. The apartment is only 40 minutes from Alicante airport, and slightly less from Murcia airport. There are many companies offering cheap car rental from either airport (book in advance for best rates), and this is the easiest way to get around and explore the area; the apartment is very easy to find, with ample on-street parking. Alternatively, airport transfers (pre-booked) cost around 60 Euro (Alicante) or 45 Euro (Murcia) each way for up to 4 people. Amenities: There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance, the nearest new commercial centre (10 minuets) is Punta Marina boasting several bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Via Park 3 commercial centre is about 20 minutes walk, with a variety of restaurants, including fish and chips, Chinese and Indian and several bars, there is also a small Quicksave supermarket catering for the UK market, a newsagent and internet room. You can walk to the many restaurants at Punta Prima, which boasts many restaurants of all nationalities, bars and shops. Patio Andaluz is a lovely Spanish restaurant with lots of atmosphere and holds flamenco dancing two nights a week depending on the time of year. Overlooking the sea, at Punta Prima an excellent setting there are two Spanish restaurants.
Activities: The go-karting circuit is nearby just outside Punta Prima. There is a large water park just outside Torrevieja and provides a fun day out for all the family. The commercial centre Habaneras is situated just outside the main town, on the Torrevieja - Crevillente road, where you can shop-til-you-drop for clothing, jewellery, cosmetics, electrical items, sports, technology and much much more besides, there are also restaurants and bars on the top floor.
