Looking at the cottage from the left you will find, fully fitted kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker and a breakfast table. French windows open onto the terrace. The kitchen leads into the dining room. The living room is equipped with satellite color tv with all the main English channels and has an open fireplace, (logs can be bought in cooler months). French windows lead out onto the terrace from the dining room. A door to the right leads into a double bedroom decorated and furnished in classic rustic Normandy French style. This in turn leads straight into the bathroom with bath/shower wc, wash basin and bidet. At the very end of the cottage is a small living room which has a three seater and two seater sofa. A steep staircase leads to the upstairs twin bedroom, with its velux window affording a spectacular view across the the garden to the river Vire.
The real living room in this charming Normandy dwelling is the outside terrace. The cottage has its own private terrace and delightful enclosed garden and the river Vire runs alongside. Because of the river being so close, children and small pets must be supervised.
The owner lives nearby and is on hand to make guests welcome. This cottage also has its own parking spaces.

An old Normandy millhouse set in over three hectares of land. This group of three traditional Normandy gîtes are located in an area of outstanding beauty along the banks of the Vire River, at the bottom of the Vire Gorges - 1.25 miles (2km) from the village of Campeaux, where all facilities are available, 8 miles (13km) from historic Vire with its many sports facilities, museums and shopping. The gites/holiday cottages are ideal to let individually or even better for a three generation or extended family affording the benefit of a family holiday together but ensuring all parties have their own space.
The three gîtes available are all sympathetic conversions of old stone outbuildings. They are all fully equipped for the perfect self catering holiday. They all enjoy shared and private unfenced river frontage and breathtaking grounds. These exceptional gites provide an excellent base for walkers and ramblers to explore the numerous designated walking routes in this area of unbelievable outstanding beauty. This 1km stretch of the river Vire is yours to freely fish for trout, salmon and eels.
Click for a larger map of the gites in Brittany, 17K The gites of Moulin l'évêque are close to Vire, Campeux (3km) and Le Bény-Bocage (6 km) which has a pharmacy, bar, boulangerie/patisserie and epicerie, tennis, horse riding and an excellent restaurant - and within easy reach of many of the fabulous Normandy and Brittany beaches and attractions in the area. The Medieval town of Bayeux is well worth a visit, as are the charming fishing village of Honfleur and millionnaires' playground Deauville. There are many other historic towns to visit such as Mont St Michel, Flers. Parks, chateaux, shops, markets, golf courses, horse riding, fishing and sailing are all available locally. Campeaux is a great launching pad for exploring the Calvados and Normandy region. The Vire Valley offers a landscape of rolling hills and occasional gorges, local cider, its Calvados (much of it bootleg), fruit pastries and sausages made from pigs' intestines.
The owner lives in a neighbouring gite and is always available to ensure your holiday cottage and stay are as comfortable as possible.
