Just 1 hour from Bergerac, Bordeaux and Angouleme & Limoges with their International Airports. We are approximately 6 to 8 hours from the Ferry ports of Normandy and Brittany where your drive down is 90% Motorway/Auto-route.
Gite 1 'Le Ble' has 3 bedrooms and sleeps between 2 to 5 people. Downstairs is open plan with fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge and wc. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms - 1 with a double bed , 1 twin and 1 single. The bathroom has a large shower, basin and wc. Private terrace with patio furniture and BBQ etc overlooking the beautiful views.
Accommodation - La Treille is a private holiday complex of just 3 properties + the owners accommodation. Lots of care and attention have been prevalent whilst renovating the barn and apartment into 3 traditional gites so that they retain many of the rustic and traditional features of this area. These include exposing ancient beams and stone walls and yet introducing all the comforts and modern conveniences that today's discerning guests appreciate. Spacious, bright and airy, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and fitted out with modern comfortable furniture, fully fitted kitchens including fridge freezers, microwaves and dishwashers etc. TV with UK Sky free view, DVD player, PlayStation 2, free WIFI Broadband access and much more.
Pool & Gardens - The property occupies approximately 1 acre of lawned gardens with fruit trees of cherries, plums and peaches. In an elevated position overlooking the Dronne valley with panoramic views of gentle rolling countryside of sunflower, wheat & corn fields. A view of the village of Tocane St Apre in the distance and faintly hear the peel of church bells, view the flora and fauna from your private terrace whilst sipping a glass of local wine and taking in the beautiful sunsets. Relax around the huge crystal clear pool on one of the many the sun loungers (parasols and cushions provided) or sit in the shade in the bar area overlooking the pool. There is a traditional boules court, full size pool table, table tennis and darts board all surrounding the pool area as well as lots of toys, games and books to keep you and your family occupied. We also have 4 bicycles for guests use to explore the local area.

Dordogne Area Information
Surrounding Area - The holiday cottages are ideally located in between 2 villages, Montagrier and Tocane St Apre which are both approximately 2km away - a lovely walk but we do recommend a car for general getting around. Both villages have very good bars and restaurants and Tocane has a traditional Monday morning market and a large supermarket as well as post offices, banks and tabacs. The river Dronne runs through Tocane with a sandy beach area and children's play area, you can hire boats and canoes for messing about on the water. Montagrier has a large Mountain Bike Centre where you can hire bikes and discover the many trails through the woods around here. We are also perfectly situated should you enjoy walking and rambling with many mapped walks almost from your front door. At just 14k, away is the market town of Riberac with it's huge Friday morning market. Brantome'the Venice of the Perigord' is also near and a must to visit. Also at just 24km is the city of Perigueux!
