Price From £ 250.00 (Weekly) Finistere Area Information This holiday home on the Atlantic Coast is in the centre of the Baie of Audierne 20 minutes drive from the historic and cultural town of Quimper yet surrounded by fields with views of the sea and 14km of sandy beaches just a short walk away. Exploring the beauty of Brittany, the Baie of Audierne from Pointe du Raz to Pointe de La Torche, walking, cycling, surfing, horse riding, bird-watching or just relaxing are all at hand. The area, amongst other attractions, offers a botanical garden, Aquariums and pleasure boat trips. The seaside village of Penhors, 2km away, has a small harbour, hotel/restaurant, bar/creperie on the beach, a further bar/restaurant, surf school with equipment hire, sand yachting school and a museum of the sea. Pouldreuzic, 2.5 km away, offers all the basic amenities including 2 boulangeries, a butcher, fishmonger, cash point, post office, tabac/newsagent and hotel/restaurant. The coastal village of Penhors with its harbour and 14km of sandy beaches to the south has life guards on duty in the summer. The beaches are never crowded and are always clean and the sea unpolluted and crystal clear. The Breiz Armor hotel has an excellent restaurant specialising in local seafood as well as wonderful terraces with panoramic views of the beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. Lighter meals are available on the terrace and refreshments are offered all day. On those warm summer nights dinner can be eaten outside. The village of Plozevet is 6km to the north and has a good sized supermarket with a large fresh fish and seafood department. It has two boulangerie/patisseries as well as a butcher, post offce, cash point and fuel. The little square outside the church has stalls selling local produce most days of the week. Every year in August Plozevet hosts a week long International festival of folk music and dance which draws people from many corners of the globe. During the summer months each community, village and town has a fest noz which is an evening of music, local dancing and supper. Many also host cultural festivals and all are well worth a visit.
