The Bake House has a fantastic position at the highest point of the property, looking out over the upper swimming pool, and with panoramic views over the valley below the estate. The Bake House shares the upper swimming pool with the Rose House. It is a charming stone cottage with a double bedroom (with double bed), a bathroom and separate toilet downstairs. There are french doors leading from the bedroom onto the private terrace with barbeque. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there is a living/dining room with TV and video and a separate fully fitted kitchen with cooker/stove, refrigerator, washing machine and microwave. The living room also opens up onto a charming balcony with breathtaking views. The spiral staircase continues up to the mezzanine level where there is a double bed. The ceiling of the mezzanine is quite low at one end, therefore it is suitable for children, but adults should be aware of the limited headroom.
There are extensive flower gardens gardens around the estate, as well as orchards of olive, cherry and apricot trees. Saint Castor is also noted for its ancient oak and towering cypress trees, and rich rows of lavender.
The surrounding countryside is exquisite and there are lots of charming hill-top Provencal villages to explore. Our award-winning local winery is a five minute walk away and much of the best of Roman Provence is within a very short drive.
