The style of the house is reminiscent of a provencal-style farm house - and a rare find in the Languedoc. It has the style and authenticity of "real france" combined with all the modern appliances required for a relaxing holiday for famiilies or groups of friends.
The house comprises a huge lounge and kitchen looking out over the garden and pool with three sets of double doors opening directly onto the garden and terrace. The lounge has a comfortable soft seating area for ten people and a similarly large dining area. The fully-equipped galleried kitchen leads out onto the pool and barbeque area - with seating for ten people to dine al fresco. The kitchen itself contains a dishwasher,electric oven, microwave and firdge/freezer. A washing machine is situated in the separate laundry room.
There are five spacious bedrooms - all with en suite bath/shower rooms. The master double bedroom opens onto a large balcony with uninterrupted views of Roquebrun's mediterranean garden and medieval tower. The other bedrooms in the main house (2x doubles and 1 twin) are all light and airy with calm views of the river and garden. One bedroom leads off the lounge and enjoys its own access to the garden - perfect for older visitors who don't like stairs. A further double bedroom is situated in the small cottage.
In common with other MidiMasion properties, it is fully furnished with a stylish mixture of antique brocante and modern furniture together with up to date comforts. All rooms have heating and air conditioning.
The amenities of the village are close by - shops, tourist information, restuarants, river swimming and canoeing and yet when you close the garden gate you will enter your own oasis of calm and privacy.
The garden is a particular feature with year round sunshine from Roquebrun's micro-climate and yet plenty of shade to retreat from the heat of summer -provided by the 200 year old pine together with olive and mimosa trees. Part of the garden is laid to lawn for small children to play. Oleander, vine, lemon and rose bushes provide colour and interest around the ancient chapel which belongs to one the the oldest wine growing families in the village. Visitors are, of course, asked to treat the chapel with respect.

Perched on a south facing slope over the river Orb, beautiful Roquebrun offers everything you need for an entertaining holiday!
The origins of Roquebrun go back to the 9th century when a stronghold was built here to ward off invaders from the south. Nowadays only a part of one of the original towers still reminds of that era. Roquebrun is now better known because of its micro climate (due to the protection from the north wind by the mountains) that permits all sorts of Mediterranean plants and trees to thrive here that usually only grow in more southern regions.
In summer the small 600 inhabitant town comes to life and lives up to its reputation of "le petit Nice".
Roquebrun is a picturesque old midi village with narrow, winding streets, often without cars. There are a few cafés and restaurants along the river and near the Orb bridge there is a Petit Casino supermarket.
At the local Caveau you may get acaqainted with the local (AOC Saint Chinian) wines and more pleasant surprises can be found at the many independent domaines.
Roquebrun boasts a lovely pebble beach on the river Orb with lots of shaded places and a magnificent view of the old village. A nice place to spend a hot summer day!
But Roquebrun is also a starting point for canoes. A number of beautiful and exiting canoe trips are offered through the lovely Orb valley. And of course there is every possibility to go trekking and (mountain)biking.
Thanks to its warmer climate, a magnificent jardin méditerraneén has been made in Roquebrun, with an enormous variety of plants from almost every Mediterranean region.
And, of course, the Med itself with its sandy beaches. At only about half an hours drive!
