Most have beams and antique tiled floors, and the dinning room has a wide open stone fireplace for wood burning in winter or on cooler autumn evenings. Equally suited for get-togethers of large groups of family or friends or for intimate parties, Manoir Les Gaillardoux offers space, privacy, style and comfort. Manoir Les Gaillardoux is generously equipped to welcome 12 guests in comfort indoors and outdoors, with a well equipped laundry, a gourmet kitchen, a large BBQ and quality furniture on the terrace for outside eating, 12 loungers around the heated swimming pool and much more. Manoir Les Gaillardoux has 8 WCs (6 en-suite and 2 cloakrooms with washbasin), 7 shower rooms (with jacuzzi in the Master bedroom suite). The bathrooms have plenty of storage space for personal toiletries, and there is a hair-dryer and electric towel dryer in each en-suite shower room for our guests' convenience. All bath/shower rooms have windows and good ventilation. There is a separate shower room with washbasin and separate WC/cloakroom on the ground floor, easily accessible from the swimming pool or garden. We supply ample quantities of hand, bath and pool towels, and change them weekly on Saturdays. Should there be the need to wash any in-between, there are 2 Miele washing machines and a dryer in the laundry room. ---------------------------------------- Bedrooms: 6 Bedrooms, Sleeps 12 Manoir Les Gaillardoux's Master suite comprises a large double bedroom, boudoir, dressing room, a bathroom with double wash basins, large shower and jacuzzi, and a separate en-suite WC with further washbasin. In this bedroom, the bed is a large double bed. There are tall windows to the East, South and North. The other 5 double bedrooms each have their own en-suite shower room with double washbasins, large showers and WC. Each of these bedrooms has 2 large single beds, which can be linked to make an extra large double bed or kept apart as 2 single beds. Beds are made up for our guests to their agreed specifications and prior to their arrival. All linen is changed weekly and the rooms are cleaned weekly on Saturdays. A cot is available on request. Notes: The gourmet kitchen has quality equipment: 2 ovens, extra large hob, deep fryer, gas rings, american fridge/icemaker, 2 dishwashers, microwave, electric toaster, kettle, coffee maker, blender/slicer and semi professional cooking utensils... and manuals to help with initial use. There is plenty of crockery and glassware. The Manoir is equipped for comfortable dining indoors, in the dining room (which has a large fireplace for ambience - there is CH throughout the manoir for cooler evenings in Spring and Autumn), and outdoors on the large south facing terrace. There is also a large Australian gas BBQ on the terrace for outdoor living. The heated salt water swimming pool has 12 loungers with cushions and some sunshades for our guests' comfort. The pool area is partly walled. There is sound ringing security alarm in the pool and a soft cover when the pool is not in use. The large garden offers areas of shade and sun Lot Area Information Manoir Les Gaillardoux is located in the gastronomic region of the Causses du Quercy Blanc, near the historic city of Cahors, the medieval village of Saint Cirq Lapopie and close to Lalbenque (the capital of the Black Truffle), where there are several tennis courts and an aerodrome for private flyers, parachuting and gliding. The Manoir is surrounded by rural villages with gastronomic restaurants, street markets, medieval architecture and history, and is close to medieval castles and renowned vineyards. The Manoir is about 55 minutes drive from Toulouse International Airport, 10 minutes from the A20 motorway and 16 km from Cahors. The area is rural, authentic, and the locals are convivial and helpful. There is plenty to do and see and the local gastronomy is renowned and varied. The weather is traditionally hot in summer, but with a welcome breeze, and the bright warm season runs from April to October.
