Inside, it's very comfortable as it is our well-loved holiday home (much tidier than our main home though!) and it has been furnished to a high standard with a mix of antique furniture, comfortable sofas, big rugs and original stone floors, yet with all modern conveniences including top of the range newly installed kitchen and bathroom, satellite TV, WiFi, HiFi, DVD player, and loads of games, books and films for your enjoyment. All rooms overlook the garden and those upstairs have breathtaking views to the distant Foret de Lyons.

Just 2 hours from Calais, Le Gaillon is close to the delightful spa town of Forges-les-Eaux with its shops, restaurants, lakes and casino. We have found that the house and grounds are such a wonderful place to just chill-out and recharge our batteries, whatever the weather, that we tend not to stray very far. But there is plenty to do and see in the region, should you wish to explore... The beach along the "Alabaster coast" around the lovely port of Dieppe, the Second World War Normandy landing beaches, the First World War Somme graveyards and Thiepval memorial to the missing, the medieval city of Dieppe with its cathedral where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake, numerous lovely quaint towns and villages, cycling along the "Avenue Verte" which is part of the cycle track linking London and Paris, in fact if you are travelling by car Paris and Disneyland are both a short trip away and make ideal day trips...
