The cottage is next door to our 300 year old farmhouse in a small hamlet called 'La Gouitiere' just outside the village of Donnay and is 5km from Thury Harcourt a pretty town with amenities such as supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, swimming pool, kayak centre, tennis and weekly market.
The cottage sleeps 4 plus a baby in a cot.
Downstairs is a large open plan living room divided into a dining area, kitchen, and sitting area with a double bed sofa. The shower room is also on this level. Upstairs is the bedroom which has two single beds or they can be pushed together to make a king size. Outside is a terrace with table, chairs and a BBQ and also shared gardens with fruit trees and swings for the children.
Prices from £170 per week in the winter to £285 in summer. Long winter lets also available @ £300 per month (min 2 months).

Calvados Area Information
This is a fantastic area for outdoor pursuits such as cycling, walking, horse riding, golf, fishing, climbing and kayaking. Bring your bikes if you can! (Mountain bikes can be hired locally if you can't). We even have a roller skating rink in Donnay with roller hockey teams of all ages and lots of 'special events'. (see links page on our website).
We are close to many historical sites such as the chateau in Falaise, Bayeux (tapestry), the Normandy landing beaches, Pegasus bridge, the chateaux and abbeys in Caen.
Nearby are the lovely seaside towns of Trouville, Deauville and Honfleur and further inland we have the pretty towns/villages of Pont d'Ouilly, Clecy, Domfront, Caen, Flers and Falaise.
The Normandy scenery is stunning and there are beautiful rivers, gorges, forests, lakes and miles of sandy beaches for you to explore.
Normandy is famous for its cider production, calvados and pommeau, the cheeses of Camembert and Pont L'Eveque, local goats cheese, cream and honey. You can try and buy the produce direct from the farms.
For the children there are lots of theme parks, zoo's, maize mazes in summer, tree top adventure parks, swimming pools, ice skating, boating, fishing, walks, climbing, museums, beaches and lakes
