Your gite, a pretty 'Bigourdane' from the 19th C, reveals a picture postcard from every window. South-facing, you will enjoy long sunlight hours, from dawn to dusk, and will profit all the more from your private garden where you can sit and eat out. This idyllic setting is in the calm and tranquility of what was, until very recently, a convent! We have re-converted this building with the main concerns being authenticity and comfort. The generous rooms have been decorated and furnished with quality furniture and this gives a 'cosy yet elegant' ambience. The kitchen is independant and fully equipped. The village, 2 mins by foot, offers a boulangerie (bread shop), post office and 2 café/restaurants. All other services you may need are 5 mins by car in 'Argeles Gazost'.

A pretty house from the 19th C, your charming gite is set in a haven of tranquility in the heart of the village of Arras en Lavedan ;peace and calm guaranteed! Your home and garden are south-facing and enclosed with a private garage and storage space. The gite enjoys a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room on the ground floor, generous twin and double bedrooms on the first floor, a seperate toilet and bathroom on the mid-landing. The house has old wooden floors and staircase and this, along with the decoration and furniture, allow a 'cosy yet elegant' atmosphere. Large windows open in all directions but most especially onto your south-facing garden with views over the village church spire and the most beautiful summits of the Val d'Azun.

We are minutes from the Pyrenees National Park, Gavarnie and the 'Grande Cascade' (highest waterfall in Europe), Lourdes, Cauterets and the Pont d'Espagne, the Vignemale (highest summit on French side of the Pyrenees), Pic du Midi de Bigorre (observatory at 2800m), all categorised as 'Grands Sites' of the Pyrenees. From your gite, you are 15 mins from 4 cross-country ski resorts and 20 mins from the closest alpine ski resort, Hautacam. 10 or 20 extra minutes bring you to 3 other downhill ski resorts.
