It exists within a beautiful location overlooking the Alyn River and on towards Moel Famau. Designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a paradise for walkers and nature-lovers, with many miles of rolling countryside footpaths and walkways. Nearby is the 'Offa's Dyke' long-distance pathway. The apartment has it's own entrance, past the cottage and up the old stone stairway. The accomodation is perfect for two people and is decorated throughout with great attention to detail, in a tradional country style. It is comprised of a pretty beamed living room with a well equipped kitchen, including a full sized cooker, microwave oven and fridge, with all the usual utensils - pots and pans etc Sleep and dream in our beautiful period bedroom, attractively furnished in old pine. A wrought iron bedstead combined with Laura Ashley bed-linen and towels makes for an exquisite stay. There is plenty to keep you busy in this area, including the Loggerheads and Moel Famau country parks, both very much in the local vicinity. Only 35 miles away lies the picturesque location of Snowdonia and within 18 miles is Llangollen with it's famous steam railway. Nearby, the market towns of Mold and Ruthin have plenty to offer and if you continue on for 15 miles, you will find yourself within the historic city walls of Roman Chester. Excellent shopping facilities make a great day out. Alternatively, you could just spend a lazy day relaxing in our pretty cottage garden. Sit and day-dream by the pond or take a stroll around our 3 acres of natural meadow and woodland. To round off the day, there are many superb local inns and resturants within walking distance, tempting you with their culinary expertise. Local activites include walking, cycling, swimming, fitness centre, horse riding, fishing and para-gliding to name a few. Also nearby are many historic castles, gardens, craft centres, cinemas and the landmark of the area - Theatr Clwyd, where Sir Anthony Hopkins staged the opening of his film. How to find us: From the A494 (Mold to Ruthin Road), approximatley 3 miles from Mold Town Centre, follow the sign for Maeshafn Village (left hand junction, 300 yards past Rainbow Inn). Follow winding road for 1 mile and drive through the Village. The Miners Arms Pub will be on the left and a phone box on the right. Continue down the hill for 200 yds and fork right at the Llanferres sign, onto a non-tarmac track. Continue past cottages and fork right once more. Bryn Tirion Cottage will be seen on the right.
