Lizard Village
Lizard Village is just a short stroll from Camellia Cottage. Here you'll find shops, pubs and a cafe. Admire the Lizard lighthouse, a world-renowned landmark and pay a visit to Killcobben Cove, home to "The Marble Alice" lifeboat.
Beautiful Kynance Cove
From Lizard Point, the most southerly point of England, head west to beautiful and secluded Kynance Cove. As you walk, look out for choughs, guillemots, gulls, seals, dolphins and basking sharks - the waters in this area support an amazing variety of marine and bird life.
Discover the Fishing Villages of the Lizard
The thriving village of Mullion is a great spot for a day out. In the village you'll find restaurants, pubs, tearooms and shops. Just a short walk to the coast brings you to Mullion Cove, with its impressive harbour wall. Built in 1893 to support the pilchard industry it is now maintained by the National Trust. Fish from the breakwater, explore the caves and rock pools or take a walk along the coastal path.
To the east of Camellia Cottage sits the village of Cadgwith, where thatched cottages tumble down the steep hillside to the sea. The cove is a great place for a swim - the working fishing beach is divided from the swimming beach by the Todden, a naturally-formed rocky promontory.
Outdoor Adventure
Sailing If you love sailing then Cornwall makes a great holiday destination. Explore Falmouth Bay, one of the largest natural harbours in the world, discover the secluded coastal coves of the Lizard or head to the Helford estuary. There are slipways at Coverack, Helford, Port Navas, Porthoustock, Porthallow and St Antony.
Diving Explore the diverse underwater life of the Lizard at Kennack Sands. Kennack Divers is the most southerly dive centre in mainland Britain and offers guided dives and a full range of courses.
