The Arts and Crafts Movement between 1880 and 1910 influenced the owners many of them artists and sculptors themselves, and later arts and craft features were added including ornate plaster work around the bedroom cornice's,a coat of arms as you climb the oak staircase with carving depicted by aged red and green paints, much used by the Arts and Craft Movement-inspired by medieval colour and image seen in the works of the artist/designer William Morris.

London is 40 minutes drive to the city centre and Piccadilly circus. There is a train station in the village with direct access into Windsor where the line ends or London City Centre in the opposite direction. Windsor Great Park is easily accessible and the town itself offers beautiful shops and fashionable high street boutiques in a pedestrian area and Victorian arcade. Sight seeing tours operate around the area. Horse and cart trips are available around the narrow cobbled streets and along the mile long walk right up to the gates of Windsor Castle. Heathrow is near by for direct flights and easy transfers.
