On the first floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a double bedroom and twin bedroom sharing a large house bathroom, exposed oak and pine beams throughout give the cottage a lovely character. All bathrooms have underfloor heating.

There is parking for up to 3 cars off road.

Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales the village of Malham nestles in the natural hollow of a valley head, surrounded by some of the finest limestone scenery in Britain.

The most impressive of these limestone features, created by the mid-craven fault, are the Cove and Gordale Scar, both of which are just a short walk from the village.

The village was founded in the period 670-800AD although in the surrounding fields and fells there are the remains of much older settlements dating as far back as 5000BC.

The history is rich and visible, from stone-age flints to the influence of Danes and Norsemen on place names and language to the modern landscape nurtured by generations of shepherds and farmers.

Malham makes a perfect base to start exploring the whole of The Yorkshire Dales and its many activities. In and around Malham alone you could spend several days exploring its magnificent limestone scenery and Tarn,or further affield are numerous small villages all with their own unique charm.

Historic towns such as Harrogate and York are close enough to visit for the day whilst still giving you a scenic drive.

Arguably the countries most famous walk, The Pennine Way, passes through Malham and other well known walks include the Three Peaks & the Dales Way (). But the area has more to offer than just its superb walks. Some of the most demanding climbing in Europe is a short walk away.

Malham is an ideal base for Mountain Biking with some of the finest rides in the UK.
