There are no garden fences, only the open land and the sea to keep you in and amused. This classic 'get away from it all' location is set in some fifty acres of informal hill land and shore line giving you some spectacular walking country.
The croft and this part of the coastline were used in the 1968 filming of 'Ring of Bright Water' and more recently in the final scenes of 'Enigma', based on the Robert Harris thriller.
We feel very privileged to be able to offer Tigh Beg Croft as a holiday cottage and short break destination to enable our guests to totally unwind and relax. The croft has been recently renovated and completely refurbished to give you all the home comforts you would expect, making a great holiday destination at any time of year.
This special place is quietly situated at the sea entrance to Loch Feochan, with spectacular views down the 'Firth of Lorn', just three miles further down the glen from Lagnakeil lodges and yet only six miles from Oban with all its quality amenities, shops and restaurants.
Access is by a private track road of about one half miles with the final approach over unsurfaced track - perfect for four wheel drive, but not essential! You can also access Tigh Beg by sea.
A country pub is situated further up the glen offering fine home cooked food and ales with informal music nights during the season.

Price From £ 110.00 (Daily) Oban Area Information Lerags Glen is only three miles from Oban, the unofficial capital of the West Highlands. Oban means "little bay" in the old Gaelic tongue. This picturesque harbour town with its many attractions, shopping facilities and fine eating establishments is ideal for those wishing to relax and explore. The town was first made popular in the time of Queen Victoria. She called it "one of the finest spots we have seen" and from the early 1800's visitors flocked to the place aboard the Comet steamship which linked Glasgow and Oban.
There are activities for all the family, ranging from an exciting boat trip courtesy of Sea.fari, a visit to Oban Distillery or any one of thirty spectacular gardens, to the Atlantis Leisure Centre with its water slides, the intriguing Oban War & Peace Museum, and the Oban Seal Sanctuary with 30 close encounter glass displays, the seal pup nursery, and touch pools.
Discovering the surrounding countryside is fun, horse riding with one of Oban's many riding schools or perhaps take in a round of golf at Oban's 18 hole golf course. Oban's Tourist Information Centre in Argyll Square is a great place to find out what's going on in the area during your stay. Take to the clear waters around Oban and Lorn for sailing, sub-aqua diving, canoeing and sea angling or cruise to the head of Loch Etive for a unique experience. Please see main property description
