Villa D'Olivio is in a superb location, close to the village of Plaka with tavernas and mini markets. Unusually, for a villa so close to the village, D'Olivio stands in a large, private plot and is surrounded by well tended gardens. Only a few minutes away from the sandy beach at Almirida, the villa has views overlooking Almirida Bay.

Villa D'Olivio is beautifully furnished, in keeping with its contemporary, split level design. From the main entrance you are just a few steps away from the first floor where the living accommodation is situated and a few steps down to the ground floor where you will find 3 bedrooms, the bath/shower rooms (one of which is en-suite) and the utility room.

The villa is air-conditioned throughout and centrally heated which makes it a good choice for early or late season holidays when the evenings may turn cool and some heating may be required.

The L shaped, open plan lounge/diner/kitchen opens up to a sizeable balcony where you can relax and take in the glorious sea and mountain views, the ancient site of Aptera in the hills above Souda and the Akrotiri peninsula across the bay. The well equipped kitchen is in one part of the "L", to the side of the dining area which has a dining table and 4 chairs. Stylishly furnished and decorated with ornaments, mirrors and pictures, the lounge has a sofa that can convert into a double sofa bed thus enabling the villa to sleep up to 8. (Prices quoted are for 6 people occupying the villa - each additional person using the sofa bed is charged at the rate of £50 per person, per week). For your entertainment you will find a selection of books, a TV with DVD and CD players with some CD's and DVD's provided. There is a cloakroom with wc and wash basin on this floor.

On the ground floor there are three bedrooms all of which are well fitted with drawer storage and hanging space, one has an en suite shower room. All the bedrooms have sliding patio style doors opening up directly to the outside terraces overlooking the pool or gardens. A large family bathroom with a corner bath and shower over and a utility room where you will find the washing machine, make up the ground floor accommodation (NB - due to Greek planning regulations the utility room can now only be accessed externally).

Outside, the 40m2 swimming pool which is privately situated on one side of the villa, is surrounded by sun bathing terraces with views across the olive groves to the sea beyond. A purpose built BBQ is situated at the rear of the property adjacent to the large shaded dining area, perfect for al fresco meals at any time of the day or evening. The large plot provides car parking for several cars.

Villa D'Olivio is normally rented by the week, from Tuesday to Tuesday to fit in with the majority of flights from the UK to both Chania and Heraklion airports - see our flights page. Some flexibility in arrival/departure days is possible at this villa (depending on other bookings).

Prices quoted are in gbp sterling, per week, for up to 6 people occupying the villa and are not per person. The villa can sleep up to 8 with 2 people using the sofa bed available; each person using the sofa bed is charged at the rate of £50 per week.

Almirida Area Information
Almirida and Kalives are situated in the Apokoronas region to the east of Chania which is where most of our holiday villas are. Apokoronas is one of the most picturesque areas of the province of Chania with attractive villages dotted all around. The main village of the region is Vamos where you will find full facilities including a 24 hour health centre.
