Ripatransone
A small hill town about 10km. inland with characteristic streets and buildings.
Having a Cathedral it has city status and has approximately 5000 inhabitants.
It has the narrowest street in Italy at only 43cm. wide. The scenery is amazing and there is always something new to discover.
There are shops, bars, restaurants, Banks, chemists and a post office, well preserved buildings, museums, theatres - one being the outdoor Teatro Delle Fonti - with several performances each summer including Opera, churches and of course the Cathedral.
Many events are held throughout the year including music and food festivals,
Traditional festa and street markets, wine tastings and probably the most
Spectacular of all - Il Cavello di Fuoco which is held on the Sunday after Easter.
A market is held in the centre on Saturday mornings.

San Benedetto Del Tronto
This is the lively main resort of the area with long sandy beaches, all beach facilities,
Lots of bars, restaurants and entertainment. It has a large town centre shopping area with a large market every Tuesday and Friday morning.
San Benedetto is also the main fishing port of the area.
Grottammare
A smaller resort but with the same sandy beaches, blue seas and all facilities but it is a little quieter and has a smaller, more intimate town centre. Markets are held Monday morning in Piazza Carducci (small) and Thursday morning in the town centre.
Cupra Marittima
A still smaller resort with a lovely seafront, beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Market held every Saturday morning.
All three resorts have Blue Flag status with long sandy beaches
and clear blue sea.
The three resorts are joined by a cycle path which runs all along the
seafront.
