Tuscan rural cottage in a private position, surrounded by woodland and with wonderful views particularly of Celle di Puccini, the village where Puccini was raised. 5 Minutes from shops and restaurants, less than half an hour from Lucca. Restored two storey house originally constructed in 1738, retaining the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan farmhouse. Equipped with many modern appliances and features to ensure it is comfortable in both winter and summer alike. Standing in grounds of nearly 2 acres. Fourty minutes away from the beach and November to April is the ski season at the resort of Abetone, about one hour's drive away. The living accommodation is laid out over two floors. On the ground floor is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room.
The living room is centred around a wonderful fireplace and includes a sofa bed and TV, DVD and satellite. The first floor contains two large bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds, both with stunning views.

The cottage is in a very rural position but only 2 min away from an wonderful traditional restaurant. The cottage sits 1km away from the little village of Partigliano and 3km above the village of Valdottavo and 17km north of Lucca. Heading north is the beautiful walled city of Barga and the Spa town of Bagni di Lucca with its fabulous open air spa water swimming pool. The delightful Cinque Terre -5 amazing little fishing ports - on the Ligurian coast line are less than an hour away. Florence is one hour away and Siena and San Gimignano about a 2 hour drive away. The Versillian coastline with the fashionable resorts of Viareggio, Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi, and miles of golden, sandy beach are about 40 minutes drive. The closest International Airport is Pisa, 45 minutes by car with direct cheap flights from many UK airports. There are excellent motorway and rail connections from Lucca.
