The holiday house is designed by an architect and has unusual features. It has round shapes and it's spacious, light and situated in a holiday park with a fishing pond, play park, football field and it's only 5 minutes walking to the beach! Discovering the area by bicycle (renting) or by foot are great things to do, because of great cycling paths and foot paths through beautiful landscapes like: dunes, endless meadow fields (cattle or flowers) and little villages. The main supermarket is in the neighbouring town: 3km. The house comes with wireless internet, cable TV and a CD player (with USB port).

Two bedrooms upstairs with each 2 single beds.
One bedroom downstairs with bunkbed and a desk. Wooden cot available.
Bathrooms: En suite bathroom to the master bedroom with bath/shower combination and toilet.
One bathroom upstairs with bath/shower combination and toilet.
A separate toilet downstairs.
Kitchen: Kitchen with cooker, fridge, oven, micro wave, dish washer, coffee machine, water cooker. Extra fridge and freezer in laundry room next to the kitchen.
Utility Room: Washing machine and hoover.
Living Rooms: The living room is very open and spacious. Two sofa's, TV and CD player with USB connection. Large dining table in dining room attached to the kitchen.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Linen and towels are not included. You can buy them separately. Cleaning will be done after you've left.
It's a non smoking accommodation and no pets allowed.
Outside
The house has a spacious terrace in front of the house with outdoor furniture. It also has a terrace in front of the dining room. There's a large green.

Coast/Beach
Groote Keeten has the most remote, unspoilt, clean and wide sandy beach of Holland. It's only 5 minutes by foot. In summer it's great for swimming, sun bathing and playing. In winter it's great for long walks (to nearby villages) and kites (incl. Kite surfing).
Golf
There are several golf courses in the neigbourhood: Julianadorp 6km. The Island of Texel 12km to the ferry. (The ferry itself only takes 30 min). Spaarnewoude 45km (4 or 5 golf courses).
Skiing
In Spaarnewoude (45 min) there is a indoor ski slope with 2 lifts.
Special interest holidays
In spring time the North of Holland is very special because of the flower bulb fields. As far as you can look, you only see different bright coloured fields. It's a very special time of the year and people often like to come and see it for themselves.
Travel
It's only one hour drive to Schiphol airport near Amsterdam. To the Island of Texel it takes 10 minutes by car to the ferry. From England it's easy to travel by Ferry (DFDS). The house is only 1 hour away from the Newcastle-IJmuiden ferry. It takes about 2 hours to the Germany border by car.
Distances
It's 3 km from Callantsoog (supermarket, restaurants, shops, terraces), 10 km from Den Helder (boat trips) or Schagen (little neighbouring towns). 30 Km from Bergen and Alkmaar (cheese market) and 20 km to Schoorl (beautiful little towns and excellent for shopping and terraces) and 70 km from Haarlem or Amsterdam (museums, boat trips, shopping, restaurants, and clubbing).
Further details
Tip 1: Zaanse Schans is a great day trip including a tour along (and inside!) wind mills, cheese factory and a wooden shoes factory.
Tip 2: The famous West Frisian Market in Schagen with it's highlight the parade of 20-25 carriages pulled by handsome frisian horses.
Tip 3: The cheese market of Alkmaar on Fridays (May-Sept)
