"A great apartment in a really convenient location!" May 2010
My friend and I stayed at this great apartment for just under a fortnight. The apartment itself is wonderful - spacious, decorated to a high quality with all mod cons - Chris and Marcia have truly thought about all a vacationer's needs, right down to including an iPod docking station! The bathroom has recently been renovated and is great. The two bedrooms are a good size with storage and REALLY comfortable beds. I had some friends over and they loved the place so much they wanted to rent it! The roof deck is a lovely place to chill out. The apartment is a short walk from the subway and the area is great - lots of restaurants, grocery stores and laundry places. I'll definitely be coming here again soon with my family. "Brownstone Brooklyn beats downtown Manhattan" - May 2010
I can recommend the Urban Suite to anyone considering a vacation of a few weeks or indeed a longer stay in New York. It's a spacious two bedroom apartment (with additional sofabed in the living room)in a brownstone townhouse building with high ceilings, stylishly furnished with all mod cons, wifi, lovely bathroom,comfy beds and useful kitchen. Plus you have use of the roof deck, great for sunbathing on a sunny day. The location is handy- you're 5 minutes walk from the subway stop at 5th Avenue 9th Street and from there you're in downtown Manhattan in less than half an hour. But have a wander down nearby 5th Avenue first and check out Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill which are 20 minutes walk for great restaurants in a boho neighbourhood. This apartment is good value for money and beats a postage stamp size hotel room in Manhattan hands down! The owners are friendly and happy to oblige (we found ourselves stranded due to the ash cloud at the end of our stay and they could not have been more helpful!) Wonderful Apartment, in a great location, so close to everything, very clean huge shower and comfy beds and the hosts are wonderful people, they even stocked our fridge with OJ, Milk and a 6 pack of Brooklyn brew beers, plus cereal for brekky. Much respect to Chris and Marcia who run these apartments, they do a great job and are really lovely people. Would definitely stay here again.
