Built and attractively furnished in 2004, Villa Meridien is very spacious and fully air-conditioned. Located on Colonial Pointe, a small gated community in South Fort Myers, Florida, it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two large, open plan living and dining areas and a den. As it is south facing, overlooking the lake, it enjoys sunshine from early morning to sunset.
Although a holiday villa, we have improved both the décor and furnishings to create a 'home from home' atmosphere. This includes drapes in many of the rooms, new master bedroom suite, new TVs and new patio furniture and loungers.
We have tried to equip our house with those little extras which help to make it our holiday home. These include beautiful pictures, a bookcase full of holiday reads, some board games, pool and beach 'toys' - and a table tennis table in the garage! Also provided are:- Hi-speed internet access (you will need your own laptop) and printer
- Flat screen digital TVs in the family room, master bedroom and den
- DVD & radio/CD player
- Two adult sized bikes

Pool and lanai: The covered lanai has a glass top table with six chairs and can be cooled by a ceiling fan. There are several loungers, two comfortable armchairs and small tables around the 28' x 14'pool which can be illuminated at night by underwater lighting. The pool is heated by solar heating and, when necessary, by electric heating.
Living areas: In the formal sitting area you can enjoy the view of the pool area and lake through the large french windows. It has two and three seater sofas, an armchair and coffee table. Adjoining is the formal dining area with an attractive maple dining table with six matching chairs for that special occasion.
For more informal living, the breakfast room seats up to six people around a pine table with tiled top and is situated between the kitchen and the family room which has large french windows leading out to the pool area. It has two three seater sofas, two recliners, a coffee table and an attractive maple entertainment centre with DVD and radio/CD players and flat screen digital TV with over 60 cable channels, including additional sports channels.
The den has a desk, comfortable sofa and TV, ideal for quiet relaxation.
Bedrooms: The master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms both have king sized beds while the third bedroom has twin beds. All bedrooms are well appointed with chests, bedside tables and large closet/wardrobes with plenty of clothes hangers. The master bedroom, which has a view of the pool and lake, has an ensuite bathroom with two wash basins, bath, separate shower cubicle and separate toilet. The other two bedrooms share the second bathroom which is located between the two bedrooms.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with ice machine, waste disposal, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils are all provided. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located next door in the utility room.

Whether you're planning an active or restful vacation, Fort Myers has something for everyone. For the active there's everything from golf, fishing and water sports to exploring the amazing wildlife at Ding Darling Wildlife Reserve on Sanibel or a little further afield in the Everglades. Or you could just laze the days away on the beautiful white sands, sample some of the great variety of restaurants and enjoy a little retail therapy at one of the factory outlets or shopping malls. In addition, there are theatres, museums, cruises and wonderful nature parks.
Naples is only half an hour away with the Everglades just beyond, Tampa and St Pete's are only two hours north and Orlando takes a further half an hour or so. And Fort Lauderdale on the east coast, known as the 'Venice of America' is only a couple of hours' journey.
Close to the villa are two good supermarkets (Publix and Sweetbay), plus every other type of shop you might need. There are a few restaurants and fast food units within walking distance and a vast array of other places to eat within a few minutes' drive. We supply a small welcome pack of essential items so that you're not without sustenance if you arrive late in the evening after a long journey.
