The views from the castle with the cafe and restaurant above Saranda are quite breathtaking with the bay and Corfu to one side and the flat plains and huge mountains to the other.
The beaches in Ksamil, Borsh, Kokome and one or two others, are all in close proximity and give so many options for the national and international tourists. Those beaches will always be there nestling next to the warm waters of the Ionian.
In the area near Ksamil, south of Saranda, you can find the world famous UNESCO protected site of Butrint. This is an archaeological bonanza and the quality ancient ruins of the theatre and various rooms are quite outstanding
Saranda is the warmest coastal area in Albania where you can happily beach from late April to late October. Described by Rick Stein recently on TV, as "the next big thing", Saranda and its surrounding areas really do make the perfect sense for current limited lifestyle, long term high lifestyle and a strong mid to long term investment opportunity.
Apartments in Corfu, offering similar views as Saranda are currently on the market for around €3,000 per m². This bodes well for the investor for capital growth as prices continue to rise.
Prices in Saranda are more expensive than any other part of the coast but it is because of the beauty; its' already high popularity with the holidaymakers and its long term potential that has driven prices up. With the improvement in facilities and infrastructure, this will continue to happen and will extend the capital growth period.
