There is an area just 5 miles away from the village that is a part of Bulgaria’s national natural reserve with a nice lake, sport facility, picnic areas, swimming pool complex with nice restaurant. There are big cities around as well - Razgrad (10 miles) Popovo (5 miles) Targovishte (20 miles). The nearest railway station is in Razgrad nearest port - Russe (35 miles) nearest airport and sea coast Varna (100 miles) the nearest mountain - Stara Planina is only 30 miles to the south.
he village is a medium size one with approximately 1000 people living there. The people are very friendly and helpful. There are about 15 other English speaking people that already own properties in the village. There are the municipality, three shops, school and medical center. The big cities around provide all necessary amenities - big shopping centers, hospitals, theaters, cinemas etc. Roads are good and accessible all year round. It takes 5 - 10 minutes to get to the nearest big cities and an hour drive to the sea coast. There are busses on every hour towards Razgrad and Popovo.
Why buy in Bulgaria? For several years now Bulgaria has become the preferred place to invest for many foreigners! As it was accepted in the EU the country will officially become part of the union on 01.01.2007. Bulgaria attracts with its nature - wide green plains and forests, high mountains with excellent ski resorts and sea coast for the hot summer days. Not in the last place - the countryside is calm and quiet, with many rivers and lakes suitable for fishing and canoeing, fresh air and beautiful nature. People are extremely friendly and helpful. There is non or very small crime especially in the villages where most of the people know each other. You will never get into a traffic jam, noisy street, be threatened, robbed etc. It is still very cheap and a monthly budget of about 300 - 400 pound will be enough to allow a normal lifestyle to anyone in Bulgaria!
