Serre Chevalier exsists not only as a ski resort but also as a strong summer destinationn. Serre Chevalier offers wide range of activities for everyone, as it is the gateway to the national park there are lots of oppurtunities to experience the natural beauty of the surrounding area including glaciers and thermal springs sporting activities include high altitude mountain bike trails (accesssed by certain ski lifts), a riding centre, mini golf and ice skating.

Serre Chevalier caters for skiers of all abilities there are numerous ski schools located in the Serre Chevalier. The slopes are of varying levels, elevations range between 1200m-2830m. There are many slopes to chose from wheather you prefer woodland runs, open bowls or off piste. The quality of the snow and the varied terrain is excellent. There are 16 black runs, 55 red, 21 blue, 24 green.. The area is serviced by 68 lifts.

Evening enertainment is plentiful. Many gourmet delights are on offer in the restaurants of the old town. A colourful array of pavement cafe's and bars provide excellent laid back evening entertainment in Braincon. There is even a night club and a casino opposite La Schappe, should the mood take you.
A more vibrant selection of bars and nightclubs can be found in the nearby villages of Chantemerle and a Villenueve, which can be reached by a bus.
