Situated in a very pretty hamlet full of flowers (in fact the owner is a regular winner for the best garden in the area) this fabulous property has been renovated at great expense and with very good taste keeping lots of the cottage fixtures i e: beams, fireplace and some stone walls and yet bringing modern comfort with central heating three shower or bathrooms .You have to visit it to really appreciate how nice it is .
In fact, it is so nicely done , it would be material for interior decoration magazine!
One enters by a pretty hallway decorated with stencils, On the right hand side , the spacious living /dining room (33m²) with a nice fireplace fitted with a wood burner has beams and a large french door opening onto the very attractive secluded garden .The massive fitted kitchen with dining area (24;96m²) is beautiful with very large bay windows over looking the gorgeous undulating countryside.
On the left hand side of the hall there is a large room (19,4m²) presently used as a library/TV room but could be a spare bedroom as there is a shower room /toilet en suite(4,54m²) all nicely decorated .
At the end of the hallway, there is the large wash room, boiler room scullery , it is the most elegant scullery I have ever seen! From there you can go into the very large outbuilding (70m²) which is spic and span .
Back to the house , on the first floor around a pretty landing, there is on the left hand side a large and attractive master bedroom (27,30m²) with beams and fireplace (for décor) from this room there is a beautiful wrought iron spiral staircase leading to a brand new & attractive large bathroom and toilet ((12,9m²) . on the other side of the landing there are two pretty double bedrooms (12,8 and 11,5m²) and another new bathroom and toilet (5,12m²) almost entirely tiled . In the loft there is “the DEN” studio /office which is very spacious (20m² approx) beautifully done (the only snag is a beam right in the middle but then , hey ho ,it holds the house together!)
The house benefits of a superb cellar (outside access)
The property is totally gorgeous and personally, I would not change anything in it. The garden around the house is full of flowers, fruit trees , it has lovely views at the back
Just 15mn from the motorway 15mn from la Souterraine and 35mn from Limoges this is one of the best renovation I have seen for a long time!
Early visits recommended!
