An old stone house built in 1870 has been lovingly renovated using only stone and wood. The restoration was completed in 2007 and the result is an amazing home of intricate traditional style.

The quality of the materials used are second to none and the originality of the design and the workmanship are first class.

The house is 67 m2, has a partially paved garden area of about 30 m2 and is situated in a village 3 km outside Neapolis, just a 12-minute drive from the cosmopolitan town of Aghios Nikolaos.

The ground floor comprises of an open plan living room featuring a wood surround fireplace, a dining room and a fitted kitchen, including a gas/electric hob and an iroko (African pine) breakfast bar. Also on this floor is a very unusual shower/wc where the shower area is separated by two decorative stone partitions painted in the Minoan colours of red and gold.

The sinks in the shower room and the kitchen have been sculpted from single pieces of stone and flooring on this level is of irregular shaped stones outlined with pebbles.

A stone staircase leads to the spacious, mezzanine bedroom, closed off with a dark pine railing. From this room the slopping, beamed ceiling can be appreciated.

The house is air-conditioned and pipes have been fitted for central heating.
