Stone farmhouse dating back to the 14th century, completely restored at the end of 90’s divided into four holiday apartments for rent. Situated at 600 meters above sea level, in the countryside 3 kilometers outside the medieval village of Pietralunga in the Umbria Tiber valley.
Originally a military blockhouse because of its commanding position, over the centuries, it has been extended on either side, and also upwards; now is composed of 4 apartments measuring in total 380 sq.m. as follows:
- basement: room of 30 sq.m. to be restored;
- ground floor: one room apartment of 30 sq.m. facing directly out onto the garden, composed of living room with a cooking corner, double bedroom and a bathroom;
- first floor: apartment composed of entrance, large living room with old stone fireplace, bedroom with cloakroom and bathroom. On the ground floor there is also a study room and a beautiful Taverna with an arch dating back to the Longobard period;
- second floor: one room apartment (30 sq.m.) with cooking corner, double bedroom and bathroom. There is also an other apartment (60 sq.m.) composed of large living room, two bedrooms, one with cloakroom, and bathroom.
The house has been restored using the existing materials as much as possible, from the terracotta paving-slabs to the stone doorways and the wooden beams, in an attempt to conserve the original appeal of the house.
Situated in a hillside and panoramic position, sunny most of the times the property is completed by 2.7 hectares, which includes agricultural and woodland.
