This beautiful, recently constructed home offers breathtaking views across the park towards the west coast of Algarve and its glorious sunsets.
Designed by the current owner and built by a respected local builder, this property has everything you could desire from a modern luxury home.
The external walls feature 6 cm of insulation made from cork, while underfloor heating ensures a warm environment during cooler months.
Summer cooling is provided by ducted air systems that distributes cool or warm air throughout the house. The heating and cooling systems are powered by a heat pump that runs off solar panels. Additionally, hot water and pool heating are also solar heated, resulting in low running costs and minimal environmental impact.
All timber-work in the home was crafted by a local carpentry company using hardwood sourced from renewable resources in Germany. A stunning spiral staircase in the entranceway is made from solid oak, as are all the window ledges.
No expense has been spared in ensuring the property is built to the very highest standards, which is a testament to the builders and carpenters involved.
The property is accessed through a towering windmill featuring a curved glass window that overlooks the national park. Inside, the entranceway includes a cloakroom and toilet facilities, as well as an electric elevator providing access to the first floor.
The impressive oak spiral staircase is adorned with a spectacular 6-meter long chandelier that illuminates the full height of the entrance tower.
Moving into the lounge, you will find a spacious living room equipped with a feature log gas fire that separates the dining area from the lounge. There are several lighting options available to create the perfect ambiance in the lounge and dining area, including hidden LED strips for soft background lighting, LED downlights, and picture lights on the walls.
Double doors open directly onto the patio, allowing for seamless integration of outdoor living. The access hall from the lounge leads to the master bedroom, which features an en-suite bathroom and built-in wardrobes. From the master bedroom, double doors open to a private patio area, perfect for enjoying an early morning coffee. The hall also leads to an addition bedroom currently used as a cinema room & insulated acoustically from the lounge with 6 cm of cork on the walls. A further room from the hallway is used as an office but could make an additional bedroom if required. There is also storage cupboards in the hall for bedding etc.
The kitchen was imported from the UK & is hand made to the highest quality - painted in Farrow & Ball Elephants Breath & fitted with Siemens appliances. Off the kitchen is the laundry room with complete with a dishwasher / washing machine / tumble dryer & a large French style fridge freezer.
As you ascend the staircase, you are greeted by a spacious landing with a curved observation window offering views of the national park. The landing leads to a patio styled like a poop deck, complete with handrails and ship lights. Both upstairs bedrooms are accessed from the landing, each with its own en-suite facilities and private access to the patio. Juliet balconies in each bedroom provide views overlooking the national park.
Both bedrooms and the landing are equipped with underfloor heating and ducted air conditioning. The double garage includes a workbench and a mezzanine for additional storage. It features an electric roller door and provides access to the technical room at the back, which houses all the heating, cooling, and pool equipment.
The swimming pool includes a separate heated overflow jacuzzi which has its own plant room located beneath the jacuzzi. The temple surrounding the jacuzzi was fabricated from Portuguese stone at a local stonemasons.
The beautiful gardens were designed and planted by a local company, they are a testament to their expertise giving colour all year round & providing a harmonious outdoor space.
A large patio area ensures with plenty of seating space for BBQs and other gatherings.
