This detached renovated character cottage, located in a charming mountain village in the north west of Bulgaria. It is just 2 hours (120 km) by train from the capital city of Sofia. This makes the village a desirable location for city professionals, many of whom enjoy holiday homes here.
The River lskar runs through the village, where two canons meet as it makes its way to the Danube. The surrounding area is ideally suited to a number of outdoor pursuits, which include fishing, shooting, climbing, mountain biking and hiking.

The first floor accommodation:
The stairs rise from the inner hallway to a half landing with a door leading to the wood store and gardens. Further stairs lead to 3 double bedrooms and a large landing with south facing balcony and further stairs to the enormous second floor loft area.
The master bedroom is a cool, shaded space with fitted air conditioning. The 2 further bedrooms enjoy spectacular mountain views. Each room features handmade, unique designed curtains with swags and swales, which adds a charming individuality. These are included in the sale price.
To the front of the property there is a level garden area laid mainly to lawn. This leads round to the back of the house where a further terraced garden area extends. There are double gates, which access a parking area for several vehicles together with three useful outbuildings. The garden is also home to a selection of mature fruit and nut trees, which include walnut, pear, cherry, apple and quince to name but a few.
