Akrotiri is a peninsula adjacent to the city of Chania where the International airport, Ioannis Daskalogiannis, is located but also the port of Chania, Souda where the ferries connect daily Chania to Piraeus. Along the road that leads from Chania to the airport you will come across the tomb of Eleftherios Venizelos (popular politician of the previous century) overlooking the city of Chania and the Lefka Ori mountains. Continuing the journey in the Akrotiri peninsula we arrive at the small town of Kounoupidiana where the University and the Campus are located. In this town you will find all the necessary services without having to go to Chania and it is regularly connected by a bus service with the city.
