Cascais is the Portuguese Riviera. A former fishing village, it became a cosmopolitan resort when the Portuguese king made it his summer retreat in the late 1800s. The nobility soon followed and, as a result, elegant 19th-century mansions now line the cobblestone streets of the historic center and the seafront.
During World War II, when Portugal remained neutral, European monarchs sought exile on the coast of Lisbon, settling in Cascais and neighboring Estoril, making the area even richer and more glamorous.
Green and surrounding spaces
In the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, Quinta da Marinha enjoys a privileged view of the sea that peeks, from afar, the dense forest of the mountains.
With about 2.7 hectares and 55 units, it has the perfect environment for a unique lifestyle. A project inspired by the contrast between the steep cliffs of the coast, the deep blue of the Atlantic and the lush green of the stone pines (pinus pinea). In a resort that includes two golf courses, a complete and modern health club and an equestrian center.
To the large green gardens of the villas, there are two golf courses, with special attention to the green that has already hosted competitions on the world circuit.
Where the lakes intersect with the green of nature and the blue of the Atlantic, an exclusive and privileged landscape is created. Here, you can breathe the true meaning of quality of life.
It reflects a unique lifestyle, combining the charm of apartments with contemporary design environments, sophisticated and designed for comfort with the wild nature of the surrounding area.
The apartments are furnished and equipped, ready to move in and have access to a private pool.
With a privileged location in the southern part of Quinta da Marinha, the development is close to the most beautiful beaches in Cascais, 5 minutes from the center of the village by bike and just 10 minutes from the exotic Praia do Guincho
QUINTA DA MARINHA
Architect: Robert Trent Jones Jr. 18 holes: 5,845m: par 71.
A Portuguese golf course designed in the classic style: dense rows of Parasol Pines and intricately shaped bunkers line each hole.
The front nine are the most construction-free, the back nine are geared towards vacation homes with an occasional glimpse of the Atlantic through the pines.
Around the countryside you'll also find some generous water hazards and borrowed greens that will keep you entertained. A reasonably level course for hikers, although buggies are in good supply should you need it.
There is a hotel complex close to the Clubhouse and another halfway there, so the countryside has a real holiday feel in many parts.
