We are pleased to offer this interesting stone house in an unspoiled Istrian hill town for redevelopment.
The house was originally one of the most important in the village, as its size and detailing show. The ground floor, where the animals were originally kept and where the wine was made, still requires renovation.
The first floor, accessed from the external stone stairway, has been renovated and provides traditional rural holiday accommodation. Notable are the stone floors and traditional solid fuel oven (Although a modern one is also included !) The owners have been renting this floor to holiday makers.
The second floor still requires complete renovation. The building has a new roof and gutters.
The village is in the heart of some of Istria's most beautiful countryside. There are two traditional restaurants. The well known hill towns of Buzet, with a full range of shops, banks, & etc., Oprtalj and Motovun, with its international film festival, are just a short drive away. The village is on a bus route.
The village has stunning views across the Slovenian border. Access is easy from a variety of airports offering low cost flights and is just five hours drive from major cities in Austria, Germany and Italy.
