The building
The house was built as a modern take on the traditional Umbrian farmhouses. The wall are clad with local stone on the outside and the beautiful  wooden roof construction attracts attention throughout the top floor. The floors are tiles with cotto an also the doors and windows are of a very high quality.
The front door opens into the living room and the view inside continues all the way to the far off hills in the distance. To the left is the sitting area with fireplace followed by a comfortable space currently used as study. To the right lies the kitchen as well as a full bathroom with shower. The kitchen features a double faced fireplace which can be used for grilling also from the outside. All these rooms are connected to the ample terrace which lies sheltered in the embrace of the slightly u-shaped home.

The surroundings
The area around Todi is well known for its natural beauty. The character is overall very authentic with  many medieval hamlets, stone houses and winding roads that offer gorgeous views. Unspoilt nature, vineyards, little traffic and tranquillity add to the attraction. The real estate market in this area is quite good. Apart from foreigners there are many local and especially roman buyers looking to purchase property.
The little borgo of Izzalini at 4 km offers the nearest bar with a small but good restaurant. Todi lies at 9 km and is a famous Etruscan hilltop town with all amenities for daily life, plenty of restaurants and a very lively community with many cultural events throughout the year. Orvieto is a mere 30 km away and offers a lovely historic center, an impressive cathedral and underground city. Many other great cities and sites are within easy reach like Assisi, Perugia, Monte Falco and Bevagna, Spoleto, and Lake Bolsena and Trasimeno. The nearest international airport is Perugia (50 km) followed by Rome (175 km).
