Detailed description and the history of the property:
In 2010, São Paulo engineer Ziga Vogel, cousin of renowned architect Isay Weinfeld, who had been living in Paraty for a few years, decided to build a house to enjoy the sun and tropical climate of the city, with space for arts, cooling off in the jacuzzi or pool, or on colder days in the gas fireplace or steam sauna. He didn’t forget to include a space for the traditional Brazilian barbecue.
With a taste for rustic architecture, he planned and designed the house with the best components, such as beams and structural pillars made of treated eucalyptus and walls made of solid ceramic bricks, combined with large glass windows.
The roof over this robust but graceful combination is also made of Portuguese ceramic tiles, in the two front rooms it is exposed, and in the two suites the white ceiling parallel to the roof allows for light and space. What is surprising about the central room that gives access to the bedrooms and integrated kitchen is a domed roof made of translucent polycarbonate, creating a very bright environment that takes advantage of natural light.
In this same central room, there is a Jacuzzi for two people to relax.
Limited by large sliding glass doors, when fully opened, it allows for integration with the outside area.
Adjacent to this area is the third bedroom with two of its four glass walls, where you can set up a personal gym or a home office with a view of the tropical garden and pool.
The tropical garden with typical Atlantic Forest plants cared for by a local gardener also fills any moment of meditation with life. Meditation can be done in the observation tower with an upper floor that allows views of the mountains of the famous rock formation of the Serra do Mar on the coast. This tower is perfect for a creative art studio or even a birdwatching area during the day and stars at night.
All of this is surrounded by the pool with heated water that can be enjoyed at any time and in any weather.
For those who enjoy movement and sports, there is a small open-air squash court.
